Spirit of Ice Chips 2015

Sally Zeghibe2015 Recipient: Sally Zeghibe

Ice Chips is The Skating Club of Boston’s annual celebration of skating and community. The Spirit of Ice Chips Award was created in honor of Emily and Shep Holt, on the occasion of their 60th year performing in Ice Chips, and in recognition of their lifelong dedication to Ice Chips and The Skating Club of Boston. The award is given annually to a Club member who has shown a similar long-standing and exceptional commitment to Ice Chips and The Skating Club of Boston.

This year’s Spirit of Ice Chips Award recognizes recipient, Sally Zeghibe. Few members have celebrated this great Club tradition longer or with more passion than Sally. A Club member since 1965, Sally’s love for skating and the Club has consistently shone these past 50 years. Whether as Ice Chips Hospitality Chair, Club Hospitality Chair, or chief hostess of various U.S. Figure Skating and ISU events, Sally’s consistently gracious and warm support for skaters of every discipline and level has touched countless individuals; both in the Club and from around the world. In her many years of volunteering for Ice Chips, Sally has helped shine a great national spotlight on the show, and reinforced its traditions and reputation as the country’s premiere skating club show. Even if you have not yet met Sally, you might still recognize her wonderful and original flower arrangements that grace the Club and its many events throughout the season.

It is with gratitude and great cheer that we present this year’s Spirit of Ice Chips award to Club member, Sally Zeghibe.
